COURSES
Studies are divided into three different parts:
- theoretical base
- design projects
- practical workshops including excursions
The goal of the lecture courses is to obtain a profound understanding of wood as a building material and thus gaining more than just theoretical knowledge.
The feeling for materials is achieved in the course ‘Wood Program, Special Project', where students get to know wood through practical exercises. The special project focuses on combining theory and practice.
These courses form the backbone of the Wood Program. In addition to basic studies, a number of shorter courses enable students to develop their skills even further.
Within Aalto University the Wood Program cooperates with the departments of Wood Technology and Civil Engineering.
In addition to the Wood Programs' own courses it is possible to follow relevant lecture courses.
